Week 4: 4 weeks down, 5 to go (in the MTC)!!
Another week has passed already?? I feel like I don't remember what I did this week so maybe as I email I will remember haha
1st off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY FAVORITE BROTHER GEHRIG! I love you sooo much and I hope you had a great day!!!
Last Wednesday I got to host the new missionaries who came to the MTC! We got to pick them up when they were dropped off here and get them settled in. Crazy to think that was me four weeks ago! Time flies. I have learned so much since then!
We started learning script this week! That means we will actually be able to read Thai eventually and that is crazy cool, even though it is starting off super slowly.
We got a new classroom! We were in one of the old buildings but we got moved to one of the new, recently dedicated buildings. I miss the old classroom, the new one kind of feels like a downgrade because there is no view and we can't hang our Thai flag on the wall :( but the new building is SUPER nice!
Other than that, I have been reading in and about the Book of Mormon a lot this week. The Book of Mormon is hands down my favorite book EVER, and I have read a lot of books so that means something. It is a book that teaches us how to become more like God and has so many personal applications that literally change my life every single day. If you haven't read it, click on the the link here to start listening to it or reading it today!!! I promise you that if you read it sincerely and pray to know it is true, the Holy Ghost will testify to you that it is. Don't believe me? Don't take my word for it. Try it out. Millions have people have done it and received an answer it is true. What are you waiting for? Do you want more happiness, peace, understanding, and enlightenment in your life? This is how you find it. I KNOW it is true. Q: Why would I lie to you? A: I wouldn't. So just do it. And if you HAVE read the Book of Mormon already, read it again. And again. And again! You will learn from it every time you read from it.
Other than that, I am up to the same old same old. Life is hard but good! I wouldn't have it any other way. And thank you thank you thank you for all of the letters, packages, postcards, and emails. They give me so much happiness and encouragement! I am so blessed.
I love Jesus Christ. It is my privilege to serve Him. Any questions about anything in this email, why I am on a mission or what I do as a missionary? Wondering what I eat or what the weather is like here? Want to say hi or want to chat? Shoot me an email :) I LOVE YOU ALL!
