8. The 91 year old lady Hello family and friends! Six months ago tomorrow I entered the MTC and the only things I could say in Thai were hello and a few letters of the alphabet. Now, I can speak, read, and write a little bit in Thai! How fun is that! But more than that, I have learned so much about the gospel and I have had the privilege of helping others come unto Christ for these last 6 months. This is what happened this week... 1. Sister Janjarus left :( we went to the airport with her and got to meet her family who were also there to drop her off. We were sad to see her go but I know she will do great things in Temple Square in Salt Lake City. It is weird because now that she left I sleep on a bed again instead of the couch and it feels so foreign. 2. English class: we were teaching directions and we made a maze out of chairs and we paired them off and had them direct each other through the maze. It was so fun and hilarious to watch! 3. สมบโรน์: This...
สวัสดีค่ะ what a week!! This week was full of awesome ups and downs. Here we go.... 1. ขิม (Kim) got baptized on Sunday! She is thr cutest and she already fits in so well with the ward. 2. We got a referral from Nagina, one of our investigators, on Tuesday. Her name is Sophia and she came to English class with Nagina. We talked about prayer with her and gave her a Book of Mormon and when we met with her on Thursday, she asked some great questions and it was such a great lesson! Excited to see how she will progress. 3. We had interviews with President Johnson this week and it is always so awesome to talk with him! 4. Miracle: we were visiting a recent convert when we got a phone call from an investigator of ours who was about to get baptized and then stopped picking up our phone calls. We were really confused and sad when she stopped talking with us 3 days before she was supposed to get baptized so we were so happy to get that call! We...
Hello sorry my email didn't send last week! I don't know what happened there but you should have 2 emails from me this week...lucky you! As for transfers, Sister Ballif will be going to เชียงใหม่ (Chiang Mai, where I served before Bangna) and I will be staying here in บสงนา (Bangna) and Sister Cabangil will be my new companion! She is my น้อง (nong) from the MTC which means she is only 1 transfer behind me. She just finished her training and I am only on my 4th transfer and I am going to be senior companion which means I am supposed to the one who knows how to be a missionary but I feel like I know nothing! It is going to be a really humbling transfer and I am grateful for that because I am going to have the chance to learn to rely on the Lord 100% because I have NO IDEA what I am doing. But I know this is going to be a great transfer because, as Thomas S Monson loved to say, whom the Lord the Lord qualifies. Stay tuned folks!! And PLEASE PRAY FOR ME!! I need your pr...
